This heart & flower ring is a beautiful, classic design featuring oxidized, highlighted depths that make the delicate hearts and flowers pop. Crafted from solid .925 sterling silver, this piece is deliberately left unplated (not rhodium coated) so it retains its natural character. 

Sizing & Setting Guidelines

Hand-cut gemstones are rarely cut to exact, standardized millimeter dimensions—for instance, a stone might measure 9.5 × 7.3 mm. Would a stone this size fit into a 10 × 7 mm ring mounting? Yes.

Our settings accommodate a tolerance of ±0.5 mm in either direction. Jewelers do fantastic work setting opals within this range, but going beyond these parameters makes a stone difficult or impossible to set. Simply check the measurements to find the right fit. If you are ever unsure, send us an email—we are always happy to help.

If you cannot find a pre-made setting that fits your stone, your local jeweler or our colleague Patty Cowen can set your stone using a bezel setting. A bezel setting securely holds and displays your opal without using traditional prongs.

Because uncoated sterling silver naturally oxidizes over time, every jewelry box includes a special polishing cloth treated with a cleaning compound. Simply rub the ring with the cloth whenever you want to restore its original shine. It works wonderfully on all of your uncoated sterling silver jewelry!
